The AROSE story
History of AROSE
Australian Remote Operations for Space and Earth (AROSE) consortium was founded in February 2020, borne from the vision of former astronaut Colonel Pamela Melroy (now Deputy Administrator of NASA) and Head of Intelligent and Autonomous Systems at Woodside, Russell Potapinski. AROSE is headquartered in Perth thanks to the generous support of the Western Australian Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation.
The organisation was established to leverage existing remote operations expertise in the Australian resource sector and catalyse knowledge transfer between terrestrial and off-earth domains for the benefit of all industries.
